Letter #12

Oops! A week late- so get ready for a throw up of information.

I would say we have been busy but you already know that because when am I not? I have officially decided that after a baby shower in December- I am done.  No more parties unless they are for me, me or me.  And maybe the kiddos too.  Of course, I am saving up for big events- like weddings or showers or any such thing.  I love hosting parties though, thats the problem! I enjoy thinking of fun new ideas and the look on the person's face when they see all of the decorations, food, and activities.  I also enjoy the themes- Canada Day, Tea Party, Books, Thomas, Hungry Caterpillar- all awesome.  Anyway- I am taking a break.  That way when Khloe's birthday party comes in June I can attack it with full vigor and creative freshness.

Zeke wanted to dress up like Jake from the show on Disney channel, Jake and the Neverland Pirates. It's a cute take on Peter Pan, and fun for him.  He enjoys playing pirate with Andrew, their swordfights get pretty intense! Khloe is going to be Tinkerbell.  She didn't really have a choice in the matter, but I know that deep down she was just itching to get into a fairy costume! Andrew and I were going to dress up as characters as well but he wasn't that thrilled about that as I was lol.  Now I just have to decide what I can wear that is absolutely free.

This week I am starting to prepare for the holidays- a feat within itself.  Not to mention on top of everything else.... Andrew enrolled me in this boot camp that I have to go to 4 times a week.  I don't know if you know what a burpie is, but I officially hate them.  I looked like a dead cow, after a month of sitting outside in the Arizona summer.  I am sure tomorrow I will feel as bad as I looked.

I love you!

Hope you have a better day!

Dear Audriana,

I hope you are doing well, I have to tell you I love seeing pictures of you and things that you are doing. (Congrats on the 5k by the way).  It really helps me cope with missing you- knowing that you are still able to do some of the things you love and that its your current home away from home.

Anyway- mushy gushy aside, this weekend has been a blast.  My dad and Sharyl came into town and the moment they stepped into the house we hit the ground running.  Our projects included new lighting in the living room and painting/redecorating the playroom.  I have to tell you it looks great! I am so tickled by it I think it might become my playroom.  Zeke didn't stop playing in it this afternoon- pulling toy after toy out and reading to his animals in his little reading nook.  It's adorable and absolutely what that room needed.  I posted a couple of pictures online... hope you got to see them.

This letter is a little shorter than most in that I am pumping and the cow is almost done being milked.  Khloe has been AMAZING.  We took her and Zeke to a pumpkin patch and she just chilled.  She loves to people watch and SMILE all the time.  It's really like she is secretly smarter than all of us and laughs inwardly.  She is super ticklish around her neck chubbiness and its so much fun to kiss it and hear her laugh.

I love you a million and two, I am glad you enjoyed your trick or treat package.  Shout out to my mom for helping me ship it out!

Talk to you soon!
Katie

Letter #10

Ho Ho Ho... I mean... Hi.

I guess Christmas has already snuck into my house... I am ashamed to say.  I have been researching Elf on the Shelf... he is appearing at our house this year and already on his way from the North Pole.  If you have no idea what I am talking about here:

http://www.elfontheshelf.com/

Watch the movie that pops up.  And then go to pinterest and look at all of the amazing ideas that moms and dads before me have come up with to surprise their kids with.  The elf watches the kids during the day and then reports back to Santa at night. He is also a little bit naughty and likes to get into things.

It is my mission this Christmas to come up with a nightly bit of mischief for our elf to get into. I of course will be keeping an accurate photo and journal account of what he has been up to... Maybe he will even make an appearance with Auntie Anna.... hmmm ;).

Anyway, I have decided I need PA, pinterest annonymous.  I am on it everyday... multiple times a day... and even have to check it before I go to bed.  WHAT THE HECK AM I TALKING ABOUT? There is nothing wrong with being addicted to pinterest, in fact it is for the betterment of my family that I am on it.  I mean where else would I find awesome crafts, recipes and present ideas???? This must be the crazy lack of sleep mom talking.  There is no way I could ever give it up.

So other than planning the antics of our elf and pinning incessantly I am not busy... at all.  Haha, yea right.  BUT its been fun planning parties, making invitations, teaching, subbing, mothering my children.  Let the madness ensue after I finish typing... this is my only sanity.... as soon as my fingers leave the keyboard, eruption.  Oh well! Let it begin!

LOVE,
Katie
