Middle of April- almost home!

Dear ladies- I cannot believe that in a couple of WEEKS Audriana will be home- for good! And then- in a couple of months- Nicole will be home for the summer! Yikes! It's going by so quickly- which is a total good thing!

I have been busy planning you party Audriana, it's been so much fun! This weekend I'm going to a resale boutique in Cave Creek that has a plethora of vintage stuff... Here's to hoping I find some cute knick knacks for the center pieces. I am also helping a really good friend of mine plan her daughter's 8th grade graduation party- think sparkles and pink- two of my favorite things. Then- I have Khloe's party which is getting closer and closer. I am sectioning off space in my room on the wall so I can hang up my ideas and actually start executing some things. Nicole- I love that number you made for Sophie so I am going to have to figure that out :). When you get back I think we should just be party planners, we would make a great team! And then Audriana can come in and help- the tres amigas! I love it!

This past week I had a friend come over and we took some pictures of Khloe- a mini photoshoot, with a smash cake and everything! I can't wait to post some pictures- but I do have a couple I took as test shots. I also have some pictures of Zeke I took to make his invitations. I had ordered some off Etsy, but just wasn't wowed so I just decided to make my own! He had so much fun dressing up in his superhero costumes. Today he told me he loves superhero much + wolverine much. I was thrilled, of course because that's a big deal here in the Parrott household.

Khloe took a couple steps tonight all on her own. She of course would only do it for daddy but she is working on it- not quite ready to walk yet! We went to her first music class on Wednesday and she was clapping and enjoying every minute! My little dancer and singer!

I promise to write again soon, without such a big gap.... My life is being turned upside down with everything that is going on- but I love it! My job at Sylvan is amazing and it's exactly where I want to be, I just can't wait to kick it into gear and be there three days a week!

Love you both!
Katie (your sistah from anotha motha)

P.S. I need you both to let me know when in July would be good to have my Pinterest party [christmas in July theme].

Hiya ladies- how's it going a million miles away? Now I know that's an exaggeration but it sure does feel like that sometimes. Nicole- I've started working at Sylvan again and every time I walk in I think of our early days and talking for hours! I love my new job. I'm the director of Education
and as I've been training these last two weeks I know I made the right choice. I'm learning so much and I know that I will be able to connect with so many students and parents!

Audriana- I can't believe that I can now start counting the weeks until your home. It's crazy to think a year has already gone by and that soon I will be able to hug both of you! And probably cry and cry and cry some more! Happy tears I promise.
So- Khloe is almost walking! She has been standing up on her own and wants to take steps too! Lordy I am not ready for my last baby to be walking. I am not ready for my baby to be starting her toddler years. Yikes!

And zeke- lol. He is such a champ. His excema has been flaring up and I've been trying to manage it with no such luck. So I took him to the doctor today to get some new medicine. Soon to find out he has a double ear infection! Poor guy is on antibiotics now and taking it like nothing is wrong. Hopefully his skin issues clear up quickly! He has his first soccer game on Saturday! The mighty tigers. They are so cute but we don't have a chance ;).

Anyway- there's a little snippet of my week. I love you guys! See you soon- really really soon!

Hiya Ladies!

How's it going? I was pleasantly surprised to get multiple cards from you Audriana and a package from Nicole! Holy Cow did I feel special ;)! Thank you for the international love!

My birthday party was a wonderful success.  Everyone had a great time and the crafts/food went off without a hitch.  I can't wait for Christmas in July.  I learned what to do, and what not to do for the next one. First of all- while it was nice to have childcare available, it will be a kids free event so that the mommys can really relax! Second- I want more crafts.  I know that might be a little unrealistic, but I just love crafting! Lastly- I WANT YOU BOTH HERE! Anyway, just a couple things- and I imagine it will be just as awesome, if not more so.

To wrap up my birthday, we went out to dinner with family and a Dodgers game with the kiddos.  I enjoyed myself! Especially with all of the gorgeous flower deliveries, I was totally spoiled.

So------ big news------- I accepted a job at Sylvan, as their Director of Education in Anthem.  I am SO excited.  I haven't worked there for over a year, and never this position, but I know its the place for me. I'll be interacting with parents and helping students reach their goals! I start in a couple weeks one day a week until the end of the school year, and then it's to three days a week. I am itching to get started!

I love you both!

Happy almost March!

Hey ladies! How are you? I know that you Audriana are just about beside yourself knowing you will be home in just a few short months for good! I can't wait. Your mom just sent out an event invite about your welcome home party and I was like, no way! Already?! And Nicole, I know that you and the family are making plans to come to Phoenix the summer, and I can't believe it's already almost been a year!

So who's a happy girl?? Me! My two best friends home this summer is like a dream!

February was a little crazy around here. Andrew just turned 27, that old man! Lol. The kids and I tried to go all out for him. We made him a man basket and a pen holder for his desk. We also made a birthday sign and blew up balloons. And last but not least we baked him a rainbow cake. So much fun and super easy. I let Zeke do most of the work.

Then we left for California for our dear friends wedding. They got married in Temecula, wine country. Andrew and I left the kids for two whole days and stayed in a bed and breakfast. We went wine tasting and ate some yummy food!

Now comes my birthday! I can't wait for my party on Saturday! So far I have twenty women who have RSVPed. Lets hope they all show up since I've been buying supplies all week! I can't wait to post about it. If its a success it will be an annual thing!

Zeke has developed a new love, superheroes. He is all about batman, superman, Spider-Man, you name it. Of course I have totally encouraged it by making capes and special beds for his action figures, but why not? I think it is so cute seeing him race around the house fighting bad guys.

Khloe is crawling EVERYWHERE. it's crazy to think she is almost one! Her first tooth has finally made an appearance, but it isn't quite ready to actually come out, you can just barely see it. I will post a picture as soon as it shows!

Anyway, love you both! Here's to seeing you in a just a few short months!

Hi Ladies!

I hope you are having a wonderful evening, morning, day!

Loves his sister!

It is RIDICULOUS how busy we have been.  I know, I know, I say that every post, but really.  This time I mean it.  I thought that after Christmas I was going to be pairing down, and learning the word "no".  Yea.... still don't know what that means.  You would have to laugh- my door is revolving, people leave people come.  But, I love it.  Hence my trepidation at ending it.  Oh well.

Coming up I am hosting my birthday extravaganza! Pinterest crafts, good food, good friends, what else could a girl ask for? Maybe a cocktail or two ;)! It's going to be a smash! I can't wait.  The only thing that would make it better is if my besties could be here to help me celebrate, but I know you both will be there in spirit.

Some of my favorite things: tea, sewing and watching TV on my iPad!

I recently sent you both a scrapbook, "A Day in the Life of Zeke and Khloe".  I hope you enjoy it! The kids and I had a ton of fun taking the pictures and documenting our normal day to day routine.

In the last couple of weeks I have been doing a lot of introspection towards my life... maybe a little too much! I'm thinking about starting my own professional blog- like make some money for something I already love to do! I don't know... we will see where God leads me.  Lots of prayer please!
Girl's Weekend in Seattle... So much fun!

I love you girls! I can't wait to see you this summer, it can't come soon enough.

The pictures tonight are a little random... but some of my faves!

Love,

Katie

Hello Ladies!

I am surrounded by a bunch of sick people today so I am taking a minute to relax and cross my fingers that I don't get sick too.

We have a dedication to go to for some very dear friends and  I really hope I can make it! Andrew has the flu that is running rampant right now and Khloe has a sinus infection.  Zeke is abnormally quiet and tired- hoping he doesn't end up with the flu.

This week my big project has been taking pictures of the kids to create a scrapbook for various people.... You might just get one in the mail! I have also been getting back into the swing of things with school.  It's always so hard to go back after a break, especially when we had three weeks off!

Khloe has yet to crawl, but she is babbling a lot more and scooting around like a pro.  So far I have found her under her crib, changing table, the couch and the dining room table.  She is quite a mover!

Short letter for now- but I will post another later this week!

Love,
Katie

New Year's Eve

Hello ladies! I know New Years has already passed for both of you, and I hope it was a wonderful evening! I am having a super laid back night with the kids and my mom. We have been in California all week for Christmas and Andrew went home today since he has to work on Wednesday. My mom and I went shopping today and I took a glorious nap!

Anyone who says naps are not worth it, lies all lies! Zeke is my hot date for the night. We are going out for hot chocolate and dessert. Not sure what yet as who knows what is open but I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate a year worth of memories with him. He is such a precious little boy- with an amazing personality. We got his hair cut this weekend and he is looking more and more like Andrew. (That is not a bad thing! ;)). On Facebook there was this pin about filling a mason jar with your favorite things that happened over the year and then reading them on New Years. It starts tonight!

Your little girl Khloe is almost crawling! It is crazy! I can't believe my little baby is almost moving on her own. She gets up on one leg and rocks herself. So close!!! She started saying da da and ga ga. And she laughs all the time. When I go into her room to pick her up she is always talking and laughing to herself. And- she has almost outgrown her 6 month clothes! Eek!

So as with most people this night brings on reflections and well wishes for the new year, including a list of resolutions. I personally don't like to make resolutions because 1. I never keep them and 2. Why not make them when you feel like you need to?

Anyway, here are a few of the things I am thankful for as this year comes to a close.

1. My beautiful, healthy children who love to laugh and play.
2. Andrew, and his loving spirit and strength for our family.
3. Our house and everything inside that God has blessed us with.
4. A wonderful job that gives me the best of two worlds- staying at home and being in the classroom.
5. Great family that love and support us.
6. And last but not least- 2 friends who have traveled the world to far off places and the memories we share, and that are to come. Not to mention- the chance this blog gives me to sit and relay the craziness of my life and relax for ten minutes every week ;).

I love you both- happy New Year.
