Hey ladies! How are you? I know that you Audriana are just about beside yourself knowing you will be home in just a few short months for good! I can't wait. Your mom just sent out an event invite about your welcome home party and I was like, no way! Already?! And Nicole, I know that you and the family are making plans to come to Phoenix the summer, and I can't believe it's already almost been a year!
So who's a happy girl?? Me! My two best friends home this summer is like a dream!
February was a little crazy around here. Andrew just turned 27, that old man! Lol. The kids and I tried to go all out for him. We made him a man basket and a pen holder for his desk. We also made a birthday sign and blew up balloons. And last but not least we baked him a rainbow cake. So much fun and super easy. I let Zeke do most of the work.
Then we left for California for our dear friends wedding. They got married in Temecula, wine country. Andrew and I left the kids for two whole days and stayed in a bed and breakfast. We went wine tasting and ate some yummy food!
Now comes my birthday! I can't wait for my party on Saturday! So far I have twenty women who have RSVPed. Lets hope they all show up since I've been buying supplies all week! I can't wait to post about it. If its a success it will be an annual thing!
Zeke has developed a new love, superheroes. He is all about batman, superman, Spider-Man, you name it. Of course I have totally encouraged it by making capes and special beds for his action figures, but why not? I think it is so cute seeing him race around the house fighting bad guys.
Khloe is crawling EVERYWHERE. it's crazy to think she is almost one! Her first tooth has finally made an appearance, but it isn't quite ready to actually come out, you can just barely see it. I will post a picture as soon as it shows!
Anyway, love you both! Here's to seeing you in a just a few short months!

Hi Ladies!
I hope you are having a wonderful evening, morning, day!
It is RIDICULOUS how busy we have been. I know, I know, I say that every post, but really. This time I mean it. I thought that after Christmas I was going to be pairing down, and learning the word "no". Yea.... still don't know what that means. You would have to laugh- my door is revolving, people leave people come. But, I love it. Hence my trepidation at ending it. Oh well.
Coming up I am hosting my birthday extravaganza! Pinterest crafts, good food, good friends, what else could a girl ask for? Maybe a cocktail or two ;)! It's going to be a smash! I can't wait. The only thing that would make it better is if my besties could be here to help me celebrate, but I know you both will be there in spirit.
I recently sent you both a scrapbook, "A Day in the Life of Zeke and Khloe". I hope you enjoy it! The kids and I had a ton of fun taking the pictures and documenting our normal day to day routine.
In the last couple of weeks I have been doing a lot of introspection towards my life... maybe a little too much! I'm thinking about starting my own professional blog- like make some money for something I already love to do! I don't know... we will see where God leads me. Lots of prayer please!
I love you girls! I can't wait to see you this summer, it can't come soon enough.
The pictures tonight are a little random... but some of my faves!
Love,
Katie

Hello Ladies!
I am surrounded by a bunch of sick people today so I am taking a minute to relax and cross my fingers that I don't get sick too.
We have a dedication to go to for some very dear friends and I really hope I can make it! Andrew has the flu that is running rampant right now and Khloe has a sinus infection. Zeke is abnormally quiet and tired- hoping he doesn't end up with the flu.
This week my big project has been taking pictures of the kids to create a scrapbook for various people.... You might just get one in the mail! I have also been getting back into the swing of things with school. It's always so hard to go back after a break, especially when we had three weeks off!
Khloe has yet to crawl, but she is babbling a lot more and scooting around like a pro. So far I have found her under her crib, changing table, the couch and the dining room table. She is quite a mover!
Short letter for now- but I will post another later this week!
Love,
Katie

New Year's Eve
Hello ladies! I know New Years has already passed for both of you, and I hope it was a wonderful evening! I am having a super laid back night with the kids and my mom. We have been in California all week for Christmas and Andrew went home today since he has to work on Wednesday. My mom and I went shopping today and I took a glorious nap!
Anyone who says naps are not worth it, lies all lies! Zeke is my hot date for the night. We are going out for hot chocolate and dessert. Not sure what yet as who knows what is open but I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate a year worth of memories with him. He is such a precious little boy- with an amazing personality. We got his hair cut this weekend and he is looking more and more like Andrew. (That is not a bad thing! ;)). On Facebook there was this pin about filling a mason jar with your favorite things that happened over the year and then reading them on New Years. It starts tonight!
Your little girl Khloe is almost crawling! It is crazy! I can't believe my little baby is almost moving on her own. She gets up on one leg and rocks herself. So close!!! She started saying da da and ga ga. And she laughs all the time. When I go into her room to pick her up she is always talking and laughing to herself. And- she has almost outgrown her 6 month clothes! Eek!
So as with most people this night brings on reflections and well wishes for the new year, including a list of resolutions. I personally don't like to make resolutions because 1. I never keep them and 2. Why not make them when you feel like you need to?
Anyway, here are a few of the things I am thankful for as this year comes to a close.
1. My beautiful, healthy children who love to laugh and play.
2. Andrew, and his loving spirit and strength for our family.
3. Our house and everything inside that God has blessed us with.
4. A wonderful job that gives me the best of two worlds- staying at home and being in the classroom.
5. Great family that love and support us.
6. And last but not least- 2 friends who have traveled the world to far off places and the memories we share, and that are to come. Not to mention- the chance this blog gives me to sit and relay the craziness of my life and relax for ten minutes every week ;).
I love you both- happy New Year.

Happy 6 Months Khloe!
The long awaited blog posting has finally arrived! I am so sorry for the wait, but I know YOU KNOW how insanely busy it is around here right now. With school ending and the holidays coming up I am being pulled in 15 different directions all the time. Besides that however, we have a very special occasion here at the Parrott household.
Khloe is 6 months old, half a year, 36 months... so on and so forth. My little girl is growing up right before my eyes. Here is a special look back at everything Khloe for the last six months....
We will start with the day I found out I was pregnant.... I was talking to Audriana on the phone I believe... and I texted her a picture of a POSITIVE pregnancy test. I was ecstatic, scared, nervous, EXCITED! All at the same time.
Then.... right before Christmas.... we found out we were having a GIRL! I made my doctor check and recheck at least 5 times... I thought it was all too good to be true.
In March, my two bestest friends in the whole world threw me an amazing shower- pink ballerina with some tres chic thrown in- not the easiest person to plan a party for to say the least since I stick my nose into everything! We were surrounded by friends and family and created some beautiful memories.
A week overdue, Khloe Jane Parrott was born at 5:20 pm on June 16th, 2012. She came quickly and with hardly any pushing. We were visited by Aunt Nicole in the hospital the next day, but Aunt Anna was already preparing for her trip overseas (so was Aunt Nicole at that point.... Hong Kong here she comes!) But we were able to see Aunt Audriana when she came home for leave before her official deployment. It was an emotional moment for me- seeing her all decked out in her uniform- I have to say it was hard to compose myself. Two weeks later- we were at the airport leaving for Cancun- without a passport- but that drama does not need to be repeated!!!! And, God planned it just so so that I got to say goodbye one final time to Nicole. Their bags were packed- and off they went to, to some amazing places for new adventures!
Khloe's first month as the newest member of our family was quite eventful- she met all of her grandparents, traveled internationally and spent her days helping mommy and big brother adjust to life with a newborn. Breastfeeding was a little difficult at first- but after some initial weight loss she chunked up quite nicely. During her first month Khloe liked to sleep- all the time and more than anything else. Zeus and Zeke took their roles as older brothers very seriously and protected her against everyone and thing.
I can sit up! Khloe learned how to sit up and support herself in month five. She likes to sit and play with her stacking toys and watch her brother run around like a banshee. I think she secretly just laughs at us all the time. We traveled to Oklahoma to visit Andrew's family and she was never put down! She jumps in her bouncer all the time and is scooting! Now mind you, she only scoots backwards- but hey at least she's moving!

Yes- I have already discovered how much fun it can be to dress her up. The problem is when I just can't decide... she has way too many clothes (thanks Aunt Nicole ;) ). Her second month I started teaching at KEYS. What a blessing for both of us. She is able to come with me both days that I work and it has been amazing! When she sleeps she really likes to splay out- see picture below. I am still surprised over how dark her hair is- crazy?!
This picture I threw in just because ;)
Happy month 3! Khloe is such a sweet tempered easy baby. Andrew and I were worried when the doctor in the delivery room told us over and over again "Good luck with that one!" She came out screeching like a pterodactyl and to this day is our little dinosaur. She started rolling over and laughing- a lot. She is especially ticklish under her arms!
Big brother turned three this month! We had a Thomas the Train party- as you can tell- Khloe didn't want to be left out. She laughs all the time and enjoys playing by herself. I don't know what I did differently while pregnant- but whatever it was- it worked. We have discovered that if she is upset about something she likes to watch football.
Yes... I stuck my daughter in a pumpkin. And it was totally worth it. This picture is totally worth a million bucks. For her first Halloween, Khloe was TinkerBell, while big brother was Jake, from Jake and the Neverland Pirates (spin-off of Peter Pan). We went to a pumpkin patch, started crafting like crazy, and started teething!

And now to today- or month six. Khloe loves to eat carrots... and prunes (yuck!), and definitely bananas. She thinks puffs are the coolest thing ever even though they never make it in her mouth. She has many boyfriends- some aren't even born yet- but she is already weighing her options and making them pursue her. Good girl! She is in LOVE with her daddy. Whenever he walks into a room she turns and gives him the best and brightest smile you ever saw. He is definitely her first true love. We have introduced her to the Disney princesses, and Belle is her favorite! Oh and despite all my efforts- she is a thumb sucker..... EEK! She hasn't gotten her first tooth yet- but it is definitely on its way, whether we like it or not.

Letter #14
Hey ladies (Audriana and Nicole),
As you both know, I am a shopper... and you will be proud to know.... I DID NOT SHOP ON BLACK FRIDAY. I wanted to, of course, but to spend an entire day being thankful for what I have, and then to turn around and go crazy on things I WANT, just didn't make sense, especially since I am done shopping for both of my kiddos and hubby.
So now that the madness is over, and we are back home from an AMAZING vacation with Andrew's family in Oklahoma (see pictures on Facebook), I am ready to blast my Christmas music and start decorating. Zeke is already super anxious since we told him a special surprise from Santa is being delivered today. HIS ELF! We are doing Elf on the Shelf this year, and his name is Dash. I can't wait to get started. I am wrapping it in brown paper with stamps and everything! I also found a way to incorporate Santa in with the real meaning of Christmas, and I am just super stoked to make this our best Christmas ever.
I NEED YOUR HELP!
I want Dash to travel, so I am thinking he can spend a night with Aunt Anna and Aunt Nicole.... We will have to figure out logistics, like maybe print out a picture of him and then make it look like he is with you? IDK. HELP!
I love you both, hope you had a wonderful day. I AM SO THANKFUL FOR TWO AMAZING WOMEN IN MY LIFE!
Love,
Katie... and Dash ;)

Letter #13 HIJACKED!
DEAR AUDRIANA- YOUR LETTER HAS BEEN HIJACKED.
This week I am writing to my dear friend Nicole. She happened to leave me just at the same time you did. So, within a matter of weeks not only did I lose one of my best friends- but both lol . I mean I know its only temporary- and that Nicole and you will be back before I know it but hey- what is a girl to do?
So anyway, this week is a Dear Nicole because I have been remiss in not writing her too. I did try to send a package but was told promptly that it would cost 111$! Now, Nicole, you are definitely worth that 111$ however, I think Andrew might have an issue with it lol.
Anyway, it is on its way, just a little slower and with the post office. We will see how long it takes. This past couple of months I have been working at the homeschool co-op and really enjoying it. What a difference from public schools. The parents care and so do the students!
Khloe is blossoming. It is amazing to think that she is already 5 months old! My little baby is growing up too quickly. She wakes up so happy, all smiles, ready to take on the world. She likes to be upside down to, if she is sitting on my lap she arches herself backwards to look around. I take her with me to work on Mondays and Thursdays, and everyone gets their baby time in.
Zeke is going to preschool two days a week and has been enjoying that. He comes home wired about everything he learned and did that day. We've had him enrolled in some sports programs and he loves to run around like a banshee playing whatever sport it is that day. He is still planning on being a pro golfer ;).
Around the house we painted the play room! We used a teal and orange and it really freshened up everything. I have to say- best looking play room ever! This spring I will be painting my room gray and my bathroom blue. Then I found this bedding at target that is teal and white, with touches of yellow. Very excited!
So, my dear Nicole, I miss you dearly, and can't wait to see you in the summer to celebrate your wedding!
Love you,
Katie
